Is News Trading Allowed?

Written by Fundex Plus

All about trading during economic news events

At Fundex Plus, traders are allowed to demonstrate their skills and strategies during volatile market conditions. However, news trading rules may differ depending on the account type.

📊 During the Evaluation Phase

News trading is allowed.

You may open, modify, and close positions during major economic announcements without restrictions while participating in an evaluation account.

This allows traders to demonstrate their ability to manage volatility and execute their strategies during high-impact market events.

🚫 During the Funded Phase

Trading during high-impact ("red folder") news events is not permitted on funded accounts.

This restriction applies to all economic events classified as High Impact by recognized economic calendars, including:

  • ForexFactory

  • Investing.com

  • Other widely recognized economic news providers

Restricted Window

Traders must not:

  • Open new positions 3 minutes before a high-impact news release.

  • Open new positions 3 minutes after a high-impact news release.

Any trades opened within this restricted time window may be considered a violation of Fundex Plus trading rules.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in account review, profit removal, payout denial, or account termination.

Important Note

Positions opened before the restricted news window may remain open during the announcement, provided they were not initiated within the prohibited timeframe.

Fundex Plus encourages traders to manage risk responsibly and remain aware of scheduled economic events when trading funded accounts.
