What Is the Maximum Total Loss?

Written by Fundex Plus

Understanding the Maximum Total Loss Limit

At Fundex Plus, the Maximum Total Loss represents the maximum amount a trader is permitted to lose on an account before violating the account rules.

For this account type, the Maximum Total Loss is 8% of the initial account balance.

The Maximum Total Loss is based on equity, meaning it includes both:

  • Realized losses (closed trades)

  • Unrealized losses (floating/open trades)

Example

For a $100,000 account:

  • Maximum Total Loss = 8%

  • Maximum allowable loss = $8,000

This means your account equity must never fall below $92,000.

The calculation includes all open and closed positions currently affecting account equity.

Important Notes

  • The Maximum Total Loss is static and based on the initial account balance.

  • Open floating losses are included in the calculation.

  • Equity is monitored in real time.

  • Breaching the Maximum Total Loss limit results in an immediate account violation.

Fundex Plus uses Maximum Total Loss limits to encourage responsible risk management and help traders maintain sustainable long-term performance while protecting account capital. 🚀
